I would like to personally welcome you to the start of our new Family Medicine
Residency Program in Southern California! The Riverside Community Hospital/
University of California Riverside School of Medicine (RCH/UCR SOM) Family
Medicine Residency Program will welcome our first class of residents in
July 2017. We are excited to recruit those interested in exploring the
possibilities in a new training program and working with the underserved
population in the Inland Empire of southern California. Our experienced
academic faculty from the University of California Riverside School of
Medicine is looking forward to expanding primary care in our community
in partnership with our first class of residents.
GME is a strong and crucial part of the expansion of our hospital and the
focus of its future. We will have the strong support of our community
partner, Borrego Health, to train our residents in caring for the under-served
population. Our Family Medicine Practice site developed in partnership
with Borrego Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center, is a brand new
clinic built for our residency program.
The UCR School of Medicine represents the newest expansion of the UC medical
education system, joining a prestigious group of medical educators in
our state. As an affiliated family medicine residency program for UCR
SOM, we look forward to a long tradition of academic excellence and high
quality patient care. The core faculty of our residency are Health Science
Clinical Professors within the UCR School of Medicine. This means that
our residents will have access to academic research support and the opportunity
to mentor UCR SOM students throughout their training.
At the RCH/UCR Family Medicine Residency you will thrive amid university
level health care with community-focused academic faculty in a friendly
and supportive environment focused on physician wellness.
