educational resources of this tertiary hospital along with the exciting
academic and professional opportunities offered by our affiliation with
the UCR School of Medicine. We are very pleased that you are considering
one of our programs for your residency training.
Riverside Community Hospital has long been committed to the residents of
both those in the city of Riverside and throughout the Inland Empire,
improving the overall health of our community by providing exceptional
healthcare for over 110 years. We are honored to have been recognized
nationally as a Top Performing Hospital by The Joint Commission and continue
to be on the frontier of advances in healthcare delivery.
The UCR School of Medicine’s mission is to expand and diversify the
physician workforce for Inland Southern California and to be a catalyst
for improving the health of the population we serve. Partnering with community
healthcare providers to establish new residency training programs is a
key strategy of the medical school, capitalizing on the high propensity
of physicians to practice in the geographic region where they finish residency
training. The University of California, with its six medical schools and
five academic medical centers, is world renowned for its health care training
programs, biomedical and clinical research, and patient care.
With the hospital’s recent $400 plus million investment in a major
campus expansion project, numerous service line enhancements, and our
affiliation with UCR School of Medicine, our Residency Programs will offer
unique opportunities to receive a high quality training experience combined
with a highly desirable Southern California location.
We invite you to take a look at our programs which incorporate the best
in patient-centered care with program leadership and
faculty who are also in clinical practice in the greater Riverside area.
We provide a unique window into the real-world delivery of medical care,
combined with the best opportunity to transition into your career upon
graduation. We look forward to welcoming you to our campus and to our
community of health care professionals.
